Laylatul Qadr: A Night of Power and Blessings

As Ramadan graces us once again, Muslims around the world eagerly anticipate the arrival of Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power. This sacred night, found within the last ten nights of Ramadan, carries immense blessings and an opportunity for unparalleled spiritual rewards.
What is Laylatul Qadr?
Laylatul Qadr marks the night when the Holy Qur’an was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is a night so powerful that Allah describes it as being better than a thousand months (Qur’an | 97:3). The significance of this night is beyond human comprehension, as it is a time when angels descend, divine decrees are established, and sincere worship is rewarded beyond measure.
When is Laylatul Qadr in 2025?
The exact date of Laylatul Qadr is unknown, as its occurrence is hidden by divine wisdom. However, it is commonly believed to fall on one of the odd nights in the last ten nights of Ramadan. Based on the lunar calendar, the 27th night of Ramadan 2025 is expected to fall on the evening of 26th March 2025, but it could also be on any of the odd nights between 19th March and 29th March 2025.
The Rewards of Laylatul Qadr
The rewards of worship during Laylatul Qadr are immense. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
This night is a golden opportunity to seek forgiveness, engage in sincere Du’a, and offer extra prayers. Any good deed performed on Laylatul Qadr is multiplied in rewards, as Allah promises blessings greater than a thousand months—equivalent to over 83 years of worship.
